چکیده

The potential of E–Z photoisomerization in molecular organic light-to-thermal conversion and storage an E–styryl merocyanine system was studied a polar acidic medium. A photoswitchable styryl dye (E)-2-(2-(2-hydroxynaphthalen-1-yl)vinyl)-3,5-dimethylbenzo[d]thiazol-3-ium iodide synthesized for the first time. reversible photoisomerisation investigated using UV-Vis spectroscopy DFT calculations. isomerization induced through use visible light irradiation (λ = 450 nm). obtained experimental theoretical results confirm applicability Z E isomers proton-triggered harvesting.

Photoisomerization action spectroscopy: flicking the protonated merocyanine-spiropyran switch in the gas phase.

Laser spectroscopy and ion mobility spectrometry are combined to provide structural and photochemical information on photoisomerizing molecules in the gas phase. The strategy exploits the fact that an ion packet propelled through buffer gas by an electric field separates spatially and temporally into its constituent isomers because of small differences in their collision cross sections. Isomers...

Determining the Photoisomerization Quantum Yield of Photoswitchable Molecules in Solution and in the Solid State

Photoswitchable molecules are able to isomerize between two metastable forms through light stimuli. Originally being studied by photochemists, this type of molecule has now found a wide range of applications within physics, chemistry and biology. The extensive usage of photochromic molecules is due to the two isomers having fundamentally different physical and chemical properties. The most impo...

the comparative impact of prompts and recasts in processing instruction versus meaningful output-based instruction on efl learners’ writing accuracy

the purpose of the present study was to see which one of the two instruction-processing instruction (pi) and meaningful output based instruction (mobi) accompanied with prompt and recast- is more effective on efl learners’ writing accuracy. in order to homogenize the participants in term of language proficiency a preliminary english test (pet) was administrated between 74 intermediate students ...

Photoswitchable gel assembly based on molecular recognition

The formation of effective and precise linkages in bottom-up or top-down processes is important for the development of self-assembled materials. Self-assembly through molecular recognition events is a powerful tool for producing functionalized materials. Photoresponsive molecular recognition systems can permit the creation of photoregulated self-assembled macroscopic objects. Here we demonstrat...
